HoloAcademy / Xbox

HoloAcademy / Xbox Elite

I had a couple opportunties to work on mini demo games while at Ten Gun Design. Going down the page, the first was HoloAcademy and the second is for a demo piece to showcase the Xbox One Elite controller.

My role

Concept artist

HoloAcademy

Ten Gun Design was tasked with creating an experience to highlight the use between HoloLens and Windows MR devices and how it would feel being active in both spaces. I worked on the initial island concepts, avatars, and rocket room with art direction from Chanelle DeSloover.

Colored pieces for each island type. Flat, tiered, and floating. Each island has been marked with entry points and doorways. The colors were based off by 3D renders concepts created by Amaru Zeas and Steve Worden.

Initial rocket room concept

3D export from initial concept, created by T Kihara.

Adjusted concept from 3D render.

Adjusted avatar concepts and final 3D exports. Floating torsos seemed odd when seen in VR.

Xbox One Elite Controller Demo

Xbox wanted a game demo from Ten Gun Design to highlight the new Elite controller at E3 and Gamescon. I worked on drawing environments and characters for the demo.

Final selected mood for game demo.
